At this point Lancelot began to have second thoughts.

Lancelot disliked winter. Cold winter afternoons often found him day dreaming.

Frozen River
The first ice fisherman appeared on the river last Thursday. When the Ice fishermen and the hockey players arrive I reckon it's safe to walk out on the ice. It's a very strange feeling to be standing in the midst of the river. It's been so very cold that the holes drilled by the fishermen freeze over very quickly. The fish holes leave odd scars in the ice like gigantic eyeballs. One wonders if there is some subterranean gollum like creature trapped below the surface, looking out through these strange, bloodshot eyes.

New Work.
I am taking part in a Art Show this weekend in Bedford, New York. The show is sponsored by St. Matthew's church and benefits local charities. This is their 37th such show.
I chose to submit two paintings of the Lotus flower. A favorite theme, especially as it is associated with regeneration and new life. A good subject for this time of year.
