Counting the days till the Hummingbirds appear. Wilfred crosses off the days while Lancelot follows their progress on the map. Perhaps another month or so until the first birds appear. Time to start planning their annual "welcome back" garden party.

Choosing a birthday cake at the Wayne Thiebaud Bakery.
July is an extremely busy month especially as there are so many family birthdays to celebrate. Sadly Agile is too busy to be able to bake a cake for Grandma this year so Lancelot very kindly offered to choose one from the all time best bakery in the world. The Wayne Thiebaud Cake shop. Whatever Lancelot chooses will be delicious.

Founder's Day Parade
Just about a week ago, right before the Socchi trip, the Design Studio was in San Francisco for the annual Founder's Day Parade. Lancelot was honored to be chosen as the parade's Grand Marshal. In keeping with Lancelot's new position as "Creative Lifestyle Ambassador" for the well known grocery chain "Kale and Hearty", Lancelot chooses the theme of tropical goodness for the 2014 carnival.

Lancelot is so smart
Like many of his peers, Lancelot is frequently frustrated by the short battery life of his iPhone. Lancelot also often finds himself rather thirsty during the long hot days of Summer. Suddenly the genius hedgehog has an inspiration - why not design a nano fridge that would clip onto the back of his phone? The coolant would serve to cool the phone and thus prolong its battery life and he would be able to keep a small water bottle chilled and ready to hand. Lancelot knows that nothing betrays one's identity as a tourist like carrying a water bottle. Now no one need ever know. Brilliant. Lancelot immediately contacts the patent office.

A Team Building Exercise.
Lancelot decided to sponsor a team building exercise in honor of Easter. Working with the eminent artist, Sir Robin Redbreast-Goodfellow, MRA, the design team took a class in Self portraiture/Easter Egg decorating. The only problem, as Agile noted on the post class evaluation sheet, was that there was no chocolate involved.
