Thank you for participating in this year's Project. We are absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible response - it's an honor to kick off the 2011 Sketchbook Project Tour this weekend!
To accommodate everyone at the exhibition here in New York, we are expanding our opening at the Brooklyn Art Library. Please join us anytime on Saturday from noon until 10pm and on Sunday from noon until 8pm. And please note: we'll be welcoming visitors to the Library every day except for Mondays until February 27, so feel free to visit over the next two weeks and experience this year's incredible work in a more relaxed setting.
For complete tour dates and other info, please visit our website. And stay tuned for the launch of the digital library, coming later this spring!
Thanks again for all of your wonderful sketchbooks. We couldn't have done it without you. We'll see you at the Library or out on the road! www.arthousecoop.com/
The Sketchbook Project.
Along with 28,837 other artists, I took part in this project, although only about one third or slightly less than 10,000 sketch books were returned for the tour. Even so a massive organizational challenge. The opening is this weekend. If you can't make it to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in the next two weeks you can still see it online. Since I almost never draw faces or people I chose "Face In A Crowd" for my theme and it was so much fun. For more information please click here http://thesketchbookproject.com

A New Business Venture And Introducing Wilfred Wetnose III.
With the bad weather over the Christmas period and particularly the chaos at Heathrow, it was not Lancelot's and Agile's fault that all of the promised holiday delivery failed to arrive on time. Regardless of the circumstances beyond their control, Claus Enterprises still denied Lancelot and Agile their guaranteed Christmas bonus. The bills continued to arrive. Unable to afford even basic art materials and with only security envelopes available, Lancelot and Agile bravely embarked upon a new business opportunity, creating portraits of the rich and famous. Luckily at an Entrepreneurs' round table Lancelot had recently met Wilfred Wetnose III. W.W as he is known to his friends, is of course the internet millionaire and creator of the social networking site "Willwetnose.com." Here we see W.W posing and are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the two artists at their most creative.

Snow Globes And Brownies.
It has been observed that due to the stresses of recent weeks Lancelot has been looking a little thin and undernourished. Consequently he was extremely grateful to Karen C for the delicious brownies she gave him today. Wisely, Lancelot decided to consume them inside his snow globe. This carefully constructed environment reduces the danger of toxicity from free radicals and enhances the beneficial powers of chocolate.**Editor's note: Lancelot shared the brownies with Agile but Agile was so hungry he finished his before the enhanced settings could be programmed into the globe.
